Populating the menu is a wide selection of omelettes which include denver, mushroom, three cheese, italian, artichoke, and tortella de potatoes omelettes ($8.95). All are 3 egg omelettes and offer a choice of potatoes and toast.
The omelettes are served with rice and beans and there are three to choose from ranging in price from $6.95 to $9.95. They are shrimp, ham, and veggie (bell peppers, red onions and avacado).
The Gnome began serving breakfast recently andhave some interesting items.The chef's omelette($11.95) features asparagus, chopped tomatoes,sundried tomatoes, parmesan and jack cheeses. Foregg lovers, the bacon and eggs dish ($8.95) hasthree eggs, bacon strips and homemade cottagefried potatoes. Also, the eggs Benedict ($14.95)has two eggs, a muffin, Canadian bacon and toppedwith hollandaise sauce. You may want to getadventurous by ordering the trout and eggs($13.95) which is served with fresh rainbow troutfilet, grilled and 3 eggs cooked to order. Forsouth of the border fare, try the huevos rancheros($9.95) which aptly contains two eggs, ranchsauce, cheese and served with black beans and picode gallo. A popular item is the Belgian waffle($7.95) which is served with fresh strawberries,whipped cream & syrup and Canadian bacon. Thevegetable quiche ($7.95) is baked with asparagus,mushrooms, tomato, basil, with cheddar and jackcheeses.
Idyllwild Tea Company is now at the location where Oma Bakery used to be in town center. Baked items are the specialty. Try their of quiches, scones and muffins. There is lots of outdoor sitting.
For breakfast, you might want to try one of the many omelettes which include chile cheese, ham and cheese, Denver, veggie (mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach), spanish and spinach. Prices start at about $6.95 (veggie) and go up to $7.75 (Denver). It looks like you can add items for $.50 each.

Open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. They have the traditional items ordinarily connected with breakfast restaurants, including scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes and omelettes.
Hours: Mon-Thu and Sun (6am-3pm), Fri-Sat (6am-9pm)
For breakfast, they have some omelettes such as cheese, spanish, chili ortega, chili verde, and chili colorado. They all run about $7.50 except for the shrimp and avocado omelettes which go for $9.40. Breakfast is served all day and all meals come with beans, potatoes and tortillas.
Honey Bunns and Joe's Bakery can be tricky to find, but its worth the effort. You head up North Circle Dr. from town center and about 1/4th mile up on the right you will see a tall sign that proclaims Bakery. Walk about 50 yards along a dirt trail and voila, you are at the bakery. The "hot" sticky honey buns are definitely the attraction here. Definitely not for those on a diet, but it is sure is a treat. Bagels, cakes and more can be found in the pastry case. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating..
If its real early and you are eager to eat breakfast, this is your best bet. Breakfast starts at 5:30 AM and they have alot to choose from. They have scrambled eggs, pancakes, muffins, french toast, omelettes (4 egg) with choice of ham, bacon, sausage, cheddar, swiss, pepper jack, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos. The price is lowest in town at $5.99. They also have a breakfast sandwich and offer sides of bagels, toast, eggs and hash browns.
