Turiya Mareya and her six piece Afro-Cuban Jazz ensemble, Kokopelli, include San Diego's most creative and energizing musicians. Pianist and Musical Director Turiya Mareya, has lived and worked in New York, San Francisco and Mexico City and has been composing and touring for 25 years.

Based in San Diego she has been commissioned by the California Council of the Arts to compose an original work and has composed numerous scores for Theater and Film. She was Director of the Arts at El Nopal in Tijuana and is currently Music Director for El Campo Ruse in San Diego.

The Jazz ensemble musicians includes David Millard, Skip Howlett, Ignacio Arango, Titi Velez and Carlos Washington. The group currently performs Sunday Nights at Croce's in Downtown San Diego.
